Culture of Convening is a publication that values the people in the room. That includes respecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you subscribe to Culture of Convening:
We collect your email address through Substack’s subscription platform. If you choose to create a Substack account, Substack may also collect your name, profile photo, and other account information. We do not collect this information directly. Substack handles it on their platform.
When you engage with us on social media:
If you follow, comment on, or interact with Culture of Convening on Instagram, LinkedIn, or other platforms, those platforms collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not have access to your personal data through those platforms beyond what is publicly visible (such as your username and public comments).
When you comment on our Substack:
Comments are public and visible to other readers. Your Substack display name and profile photo will appear alongside your comment. Please be mindful of sharing personal information in comments.
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to deliver Culture of Convening content directly to your inbox. We may occasionally use it to share updates about the publication, such as new features, events, or paid subscription offerings. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not send spam.
Substack and Your Data
Substack, as our hosting platform, may collect additional data such as IP addresses, browser information, and reading activity for analytics and platform functionality. We have access to aggregated analytics through Substack (such as open rates and subscriber counts) but we do not have access to your individual browsing behavior.

If you have a Substack account, you can manage your data and privacy settings through your Substack account directly.
Children’s Privacy
Culture of Convening is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has subscribed or provided personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.
